For those wanting to take a peaceful and easy stroll there are two carefully created paths, the shorter path Rathad Rodaidh taking you to the river Hinnisdal or the slightly longer and steeper path Seann Slighe Baile, both with fantastic scenic views along the way. Both paths form a loop.
Or if you want something more arduous how about a 6 mile out and back hike or cycle. Ride along the specially created track which links the two wooded areas of Glenhinnisdal and Glenuachdarach which make up Kingsburgh community forest.
Head out from the main entrance, situated alongside the A87 Portree to Uig road and in minutes find yourself enjoying the stunning scenery and peace and quiet of the (Inner) Hebrides. Free parking is available close to the main entrance. However please do not park blocking /in such a way that prevents emergency vehicular access.
And for those looking for a real taste of adventure, why not trek on to reach the breath taking Trotternish Ridge whose lofty hills overshadow the wooded slopes below and offer stunning/panaromic views of Skye, the Outer Hebrides and the mainland.
